Recording Studio

"Tokyo Series"
2008.

Recently, I got the chance to chill at a Recording Studio with the band Tokyo.

Most of the photos I took were a little blurry cause of the lighting and lack of tripod, but after toying with the saturation and tint...it worked for these.

Enchanted Forest

So, recently I paid a midnight visit to the shut-down Enchanted Forest in Ellicot City, MD. Not only was it frightening and dark...but pretty awesome. Trespassing? Hey, you only live once.

Still Old

"Flower Child"
2008.

Still Old Pictures. I'm a little disappointed in myself. All my free time goes to sitting on my bed, napping, procrastinating in the lounge, or trying to be a "normal" college kid. From now on my camera needs to be permanently attached to my shoulder. Anyway, I thought these were comical and stumbled across them when researching for my English project. Enjoi!

Graffiti Rocks

"Graffiti Rock Series"
2008.

Yeah you guessed it, throughout high school I consistently had the same model. I ordered the photos by my favorite to least favorite. I found these rocks in Annapolis while wandering through the woods. They're huge and covered in graffiti and, because lots of kids apparently have parties there, there is broken glass EVERYWHERE. I'll probably go back someday and just do a study of the rocks themselves.

Peace

"Peace"
2007.

Looking back at this I liked it a lot better before. Still, I like the idea behind it and I think it's pretty successful in portraying the right "emotion". Yikes! :)

For Adam

"I'll Believe in Anything by Wolf Parade"
2008.

This was my last project. Jon didn't like the words in the eye and I agree but I want them there. Strange how sometimes what you want in a piece decreases its quality. Eventually I will change the poster and gift to to a certain someone :).

Moon Men?

"Moon Men"
2008.

This was my digital/Analog project. It took a lot of unexpected turns. Go figure. Not quite how I wished it to turn out. Sometimes when you stare at something for too long you just have to move on. Plus with the next project fresh in my mind it was hard to go back to this one. That TV's a Popsicle!

In the Begining

"Star Man"
2006.

Bubble Gun
2005.

I kinda just wanted to share my intro to photography. I bought a little Cannon Power Shot and would just dress my friends up and take their photos. I liked to play with fun things. My friend Jordan and I had pretty active imaginations at the time. I think some of the ideas are pretty clever and maybe be fun to play with now that I know what I'm doing a little more.

Jochem van Wetten

http://www.jochemvanwetten.nl/gallery.htm

There's some interesting work on this sight. I like his wide range of quirky subjects and unique combinations. He must have a real eye to create some of these works.

Chelsea Market

"Untitled"
2007.

I figure I should post something that's not of a person. This was taken in Chelsea Market, New York. It's like the best market ever so if you've never been there: go. The architecture is really cool in there, very industrial because it once was an old Nabisco Factory. Anyway, the shot is yellow cause the lighting was yellow, but I decided it worked best for the picture.

Space Case

"Space Case Series"
2008.

With these photos I was playing with this machine that creates moving stars all over the walls. I opened the shutter speed to allow for the moving stars to create these lines. If you click the photo it shows up better on the screen...at this small size they look blurry.

Back

"Back"
2008.

This photo stuck my interest of the human form. Again my focus is a person, I want to branch out a little more and find other subjects rather than live ones. For now, this is all I have.

"Day Dreamer"
2007.

As a "people-watcher", I find the most interesting photography to be the kind that makes an audience wonder more about the subject and the story behind the image captured.
