This is a Long One

I'm home this weekend, which means plenty of self-contemplation and rummaging through my old notebooks. This was my treasure:

First came my written song lyrics in the mix of class notes and math problems. A beginning to typography strictly through emotion!
Rufus Wainwright

Alyssa Kaminski

Rilo Kiley

Rilo Kiley

Jets to Brazil

Next, in the same work/play mix up came these bizarre and unfortunate characters I created for myself. I believe them to represent the pain of high school.

"Dag Yo"

"Deeelightful!"
"What the hell"

"This duck flower eats babies"

"Shit."

Thursday 2007
"YOU ARE STRANGER THAN I"
"Our tops are the same color"
"I'm going to go change"
"Go Away!"

After those hilarious doodles came mini notes of encouragement or riddled remindersI'm not sure if this is a love letter I never found...or just a joke

This I found in the middle of an almost empty notebook
It was hiding between the blank pages

I have no Idea what this means at all...and that's why I love it.

Finally came old photos
A notebook showing my baby while she was still alive
proclaiming "I don't know what I'd do without her"

A few pages later this image was taped in
After she died.

And finally pictures of me and my mom being goofs
to end things on a light note

Could these findings be glitches?

This Post is Called: Alyssa Gets a Macro Lens

I know, I know, It's just a start, but it's been fun fiddling with the new lens
I think I might use these wish-granting weeds as the subject for my next study.
That or... something entirely different!
Stay Tuned!

To quote

"How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd."

Today It Rained

And I thought to myself...how lame am I with these Macbook pictures..

But then I remembered:
THIS WAS ME THE OTHER DAY.

Sometimes rainy days are nice for sitting in a taking a break
I look like I'm taking a break in that top photo
But really I'm where I'm at in the second one.

IN ALL REALITY MY MIND IS HERE:

ain't it fabulous?
